Here is to inform all Prospective
Corps Members of the 2017 Batch 'A' (Stream II) that the printing of Call-up
letters will commence in the evening of Friday, 21st July, 2017.
In the light of this
NYSC wishes to reassure the PCM of tight security throughout the duration of
the orientation exercise the Director general of NYSC in collaboration with the
Nigerian Navy has reaffirmed its commitment to providing adequate security for
successful conduct of the National Youth Service Corps operations.
The Commander, Naval
Unit, Abuja, Commodore SG Olubode - Fazaz, stated this today during a courtesy
visit to the NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, at the
Directorate Headquarters, Abuja.
While commending the
Scheme on its policy of deploying Corps Members to all the nooks and crannies
of the country, he said the Navy would leave no stone unturned by ensuring that
Corps Members on National service are given maximum protection.
He also solicited for
more robust collaboration between the Navy and the NYSC.
"We are assuring
you of our readiness anytime you need us", he said.
While responding,
Brigadier General Kazaure congratulated the Commander on his appointment.
He commended the
Nigerian Navy for providing accommodation for Corps Members inside its
barracks.
