2017 UTME: JAMB Finally Begins Sales Of UTME Application Form


 The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, on Monday, announced its plans to begin sale of forms for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME.
In series of tweets via its handle @JAMBHQ, the organisation said the sales would begin on Monday March 20.
According to the board, registration fee for UTME 2017 is N5, 500.
The sale of forms will close on Wednesday, April 19.
The board also said that the examination will hold between May 6 and 20.
Earlier in February, the Registrar of JAMB, Ishaq Oloyede, had said that 1.7 million candidates were expected to sit for the exam this year.
“We are expecting 1.7 million candidates to sit for the UTME this year and we want to make sure we satisfy these candidates within a week or thereabouts,” the JAMB boss had said.

JAMB Registration form for 2017/2018 CBT is out online at jamb.org.ng. Sales of form now has a starting date and closing date. JAMB OPTIONAL MOCK UTME
We are ready to commence the sales of the 2017/2018 admission forms for UTME and Direct Entry forms on the said date,’’ he said.
JAMB recently emphasized that it would organise an optional mock examination before the 2017 UTME.
Based on information published on its Twitter handle @JAMBHQ, the date of the Mock examination will soon be announced.
According to the board, the purpose of the mock examination is to allow candidates “FEEL’’ what the main examination will be like.
The board, however, said the mock examination would be “completely optional’’ as it would not be a pre-requirement for writing the actual UTME.
It added that candidates can choose to either take the mock examination or not.
The board also disclosed that Interswitch Payment on the e-Facility portal has been temporarily disabled and that the list of its accredited centres soon be announced

JAMB EXAM STARTING AND END DATES, VENUES
Joint Admission Matriculation Examination JAMB set to begins Exam from 6th May, 2017 to 20th May, 2017 (excluding May 12, 2017 because of Candidates sitting for WAEC’s Further Maths Exam). The venue of the examination will be at any centre in the candidate’s chosen examination town.
WHERE CAN YOU BUY REGISTRATION SCRATCH CARDS/FORM?
We have been informed that the 2017 JAMB registration scratch card (e-PIN) for UTME 2017/2018 is now available at designated points and banks nationwide.
Registration forms and cards are now available in the following Banks and NIPOST offices Nationwide. Banks will also have their representatives at JAMB CBT registration centers where candidates can register.

All candidates are to take note that irrespective of their choice of course of study or method of testing, they will also be tested on two general books. The name of the general books are; “In Dependence” by Sarah Ladipo Manyika for UTME candidates and “The Last Days at Forcados High School” by A.H. Mohammed for Direct Entry candidates.


ACCREDITED JAMB REGISTRATION CENTERS
As said earlier, registration for JAMB UTME 2017/2018 can be done on Jamb website or accredited centers. All interested candidates should note that they can easily access the Board’s website on www.jamb.org.ng for registration using the registration scratch card.

Please take note that Registration for the CBT examination can be done on the website at anytime within the specified registration period through any of the accredited 2017 JAMB registration centers nationwide.
