NYSC REITERATES COMMITMENT TO CORPS MEMBERS' SECURITY
The Management of National Youth Service Corps has promised
that no Corps Member would be posted to any location with security breach.
The Director-General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure,
disclosed this today in Asaya Orientation Camp Kogi state, during his visit to
the 2017 Batch 'B' Stream Two Corps Members deployed to Benue and Taraba States
but dislodged to Kogi Camp.
He said the NYSC Scheme would not compromise the security and
welfare of its Corps Members nationwide.
The DG added that Management is working harmoniously with all
security agencies in the country, in order to ensure that Corps Members are not
at risk in their places of primary assignment.
The NYSC Boss however pleaded with the serving corps members
currently serving in Benue and other state of the country that witness security
threat to remain calm and law abiding as they are working round the clock to
ensure the safety of all members nationwide.
Kazaure used the forum to admonish the Corps Members to
acquire skills in order to become wealth creators and employers of labour
instead of seeking unavailable salaried jobs.
Speaking further, the NYSC boss urged them to impact their
host communities with infrastructural projects that would reduce the sufferings
of the residents and also leave lasting legacies after the service year.
The Director-General also appealed to the Corps Members to
strive for the unity of the country, saying it is the responsibility of all
Nigerians.
In her welcome address, Benue State Coordinator, Mrs Hebert

progressing without hitch with the support of all camp officials.
