This is to bring to the notice of the general public that the
JAMB Registrar said the examination earlier scheduled to hold between January
22 and 24 2018 has been shifted to a new date.
Prof Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar, Joint Admissions and
Matriculation Board, JAMB, disclosed that the 2018 Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination, UTME, will now take place between March 9 and 17. He
said the examination will be preceded with mock examination, which will take
place in the first week of February.
The JAMB Boss stated these during a meeting with stakeholders

Prof Ishaq Oloyede, said the examination scheduled to hold
between January 22 and 24 was shifted to the new dates due to the ongoing
strike by public universities non-teaching staff.

them are located in the universities premises and non-teaching staff are on
strike. ”
About 1.2 million Nigerians have been registered for the 2018
Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination, according to statistics from the
Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board. This was disclosed by the JAMB
Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede
He warned candidates against the usage of prohibited items
during the examination exercises.
According to the JAMB Registrar, the prohibition of materials
was applicable to candidates, supervisors and examiners, adding, “candidates,
examiners, invigilators will not be allowed entrance to the examination hall
with wrist watches, pencils except HB pencils and cameras.”
