The management of NYSC announced the commencement of NYSC 2018 batch ‘B’ stream orientation exercise which according to the management public relation officer, the batch ‘B’ stream 2 is intended to commence immediately after the NYSC 2018 Batch ‘B’ stream 1 orientation which is presently ongoing.
It
will interest you to know that the management of NYSC before the passing out of
2017 batch A stream 1 releases a circular that there will be no more stream in
in the NYSC scheme. That they are going back to batch A, B & C as it used
to be before 2017 BATCH ‘B’.
Recently
NYSC replied to a facebook tweet on their NYSC official facebook page to a
question posted by a prospective corps member who was mobilized during the NYSC
batch ‘B’, but was left with a message in a his NYSC dashboard “ sorry you are
not in this stream. You will be notified when to print your call-up letter. Who
couldn’t print his call-up letter, the official of NYSC replied that there will
be orientation exercise for NYSC 2018 Batch ‘B’ stream 2 just immediately after
the batch A stream 1 orientation exercise which will last for 3weeks
IMPORTANT NOTICES NYSC 2018 Batch B ‘PCM’s’
The
information reaching us from the NYSC headquarters Abuja has it that;
For
logistic reasons, some corps members posted to Lagos, Anambra, Kaduna, and
Rivers would be having their orientation camps in Osun/Ondo, Ebonyi/Imo, Jigawa
and Cross River respectively.
Therefore,
all corps members posted to Lagos, Anambra, Kaduna, and Rivers state are advised
to reprint their call-up letters before proceeding to their various orientation
camps.
The
National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has commenced the 2018 Batch ‘B’
Orientation course for prospective corps members nationwide from July 24. Mrs
Adenike Adeyemi, the NYSC Director, Press and Public Relations, said this in a
statement on Wednesday in Abuja. Adeyemi said that the course would hold in all
orientation camps from July 24 to Aug. 13. She urged all State Coordinators to
pay adequate attention to security issues and general welfare of corps members.
She also advised the coordinators to ensure strict compliance with management’s
directives on healthcare, feeding, accommodation and camp sanitation during the
course. Adeyemi said that the Director-General of the scheme, Brig.-Gen.
Suleiman Kazaure, had urged the state coordinators to step up efforts at sensitizing
state governments and other stakeholders on their statutory responsibilities to
NYSC.
“State governments are responsible for providing and upgrading camp
facilities. Details regarding the conduct of the Stream II edition of the orientation
course will be released in due course.
