Jamb 2019: Item You Should Not Bring into Exam Hall

This is to inform the general public that the 2018/2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) commences today being April 11th and will end on April 18, 2019, at the over 708 Computer Based Test Centres nationwide. You will agree with me that Prof Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), had revealed lately that about 1,888,008 candidates had registered for the UTME whereas 103,176 candidates registered for Direct Entry this year. Oloyede emphasized that only candidates who were verified by biometrics would be allowed to take the exam. He also cautioned c=., candidates against coming to the exam hall with items that have been prohibited by the Board in other not to be disqualified.

What You Should Not Bring Into the Exam Hall


The following items listed below will not be allowed into the exam halls, they comprise of, wristwatches, recorders, ATM cards, jewelry, calculators, earpieces, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, smart lenses, erasers, smart buttons, and spy reading glasses. for the meantime, also note that there is no collide between its timetable and that of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) as being extensively speculated and criticized. Oloyede who was communicating recently for the period of an interactive session with Editors which held in Lagos said had that there such speculation lack basis since the organization constantly holds yearly meetings with the exam bodies to resolve areas of interest.


For the record, “We meet per annum with WAEC, NECO, and others to put to rights for the reason that we have the similar goal of education improvement,’’ said the academic Don. He said those who were criticizing him and the Board were badly informed adding that they will not succeed in distracting him from pursuing the target of ensuring national development through sound education for Nigerians.
