NYSC State Allawee
Let me make this clarification here some school are fond of making money from innocent graduate on the ground that they want to renew their id card for NYSC service year. I want to categorically state here that you can use any id card other than your school id card such as National ID card, International passport, Driver’s License, Voters Card and your school id card that your school term ‘ expired’ Id card. Be guided, to be inform is to be transform do not allowed anybody to swings you about.
Move to the ICT table for digital verification, at this point the sheep will be separated from the goat if you sent your best friend to do your registration for you while you were at home. Someone did the biometric captured for you. You will be cleared and issued with registration slip which contains your bio data, state code, platoon number, call-up number among others.
You must go to the next table for your meal ticket and number tag that contain your state code number and that will serve as your temporary identity card during the orientation course pending when the plastic NYSC id card will be issued to you, usually two days to the end of the orientation course.
Allawee matter; bank staff will be at the hall to open account for you; this account will be used specifically for your NYSC monthly allowance. Every corps members will be advise to open account with the particular bank in which their state code range fall in. please be guided, I suppose at this point you pause and ask question for more clarification , because a lot of corps member’s fall victim in this very issue. If your state code number arrange is among those who are to open account with two bank please, please do not open one and leave one , please open the two account to avoid story that touch you that while others are celebrating the bank alert your own won’t an exemption. A word they said is enough for the wise.

PLATOON IDENTIFICATION
Just after the account opening process, the next item on the list is the collection of your NYSC kits which is usually done on platoon basis. Before we get to that, did I just hear someone said what is platoon again? Yes because there are usually so many corps members on camp. For easy identification and orderliness in the camp, corps members are divided into ten groups known and address as platoon after the registration. Each platoon has a platoon officer (NYSC official ), a Drill Instructor (soldier), a physical training instructor ( man ‘O’ war personnel) and a platoon leader ( corps member).
Now, this lead us to the next question, how do I know the platoon I belong to? Nice question, just after your digital verification at the ICT table, you will be issued with a registration slip, this slip contain your state code number, your platoon number and your state of deployment.
How to identify your platoon, the last digit of your state code number for instant, a corps member with the state code number of BN/18A/8536 the BN signified Benue state, 18A: means 2018 Batch A, 8536 means you are in platoon 6. It’s as simple as that.
